Mum this is what my strawberry plants that you gave me look like... I think they're dead :( Shall I get some new ones or do you think they'll magically recover?
The ones that were already here aren't looking so bad:
And my blueberry bush is looking great =D
They've finally taken away Benny. I'm a bit suspicious that he isn't really dead and that they've just ripped me off, but ah well, nothing I can do now, so best not to worry. My new car is doing fine.

The Garden!
One of the main reasons for starting this blog is to document how things are doing in the garden. This is the first year that I'm a) living in a house with garden that's not cement and b) that I'm here over the summer to enjoy. So win win.
Here are a few photos I took last week to show the garden in Spring. There's a lot of work to be done, but there are some nice Spring bulbs up at the moment.
I've been growing lots of seeds in my new greenhouse. I have tomatoes, broccoli, sweetcorn, sweet peas, sunflowers, snap dragons, petunias, pansies and marigolds. I think I probably planted them all a bit early, cos they're getting fairly big and I can't plant them out until May apparently...
This is my pride and joy! It might not look like much now, but in a few months this will be full of vegetables. It was completely covered in weeds when I first moved in, so it's been a lot of work over the winter to dig it up. I think it's finally ready! You can't really see on the left border there are some raspberry canes and on the right is a ?red?blackcurrant bush too so hopefully we'll have some fruit in the summer!
I'll try to put some more garden pics up in the next day or two as I do more work - if there's much to show for it!

Venice Part 2
We went Mon-Fri but spent most of Mon + Fri travelling so the first proper day was Tuesday. It was lovely and sunny! We walked to San Marco, the famous square and managed to find it without getting lost. Coming home was a different story...!
I'm sure mum could tell you what all those random buildings are... They were pretty!
Venetian Ambulance!
Glassblowing on Murano
The roof in a church
Our apartment - it had loads of random things in it like the double base, an ancient pillar, an old wool spinner thing as a toilet paper stand...

A Blog For My Mum
I'm starting a new blog of random little things that I want to document. I have no intention of anyone other than my mum reading this and me in the future, hence the name! Hi Mum!
This week we went to Venice. Here are a few photos:
I'll upload a few more photos when I've figured out how to upload them from my phone (when I'm back in Exeter).
This week we went to Venice. Here are a few photos:
A typical waterway
The Rialto Bridge
We went to a glass making factory on the island of Murano and watched a little demonstration. It was a bit odd (not very showy and they kept throwing bits away that they didn't like) but interesting to see. The best bit was this horse they made.
I'll upload a few more photos when I've figured out how to upload them from my phone (when I'm back in Exeter).
